Inspiration Strikes Again!

As you may have observed from my lack of blogging, I have hit a severe dry spell - creatively speaking. However, this weekend I have had a couple of ideas causing curious tingles in my brain that are both pleasing in a tickling manner, and irritating in a "I'VE GOTTA SCRATCH THIS OR ELSE IT'LL DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!" sort of way.

One idea came at 2:00 this morning as I was riding home with my hopelessly talented and unambitious ex-boyfriend, Daniel (yes I know, it "takes-one-to-know-one"). He was telling me about his girlfriend, Erin, who suffers from a similar condition. What is interesting is that she would like to work in a field that does not currently exist. Well, it may exist, but I am unaware of it. Basically, she and many others foresee that eventually man will want to inhabit other planets, and to do so they will need to send many supplies into space. Some of these supplies include animals. She would like to work with these animals for a living.

As I was listening I started getting images of animals being sent to space, and one that popped into my mind was Noah's Ark. I laughed at first, but then a story line began to emerge. I brought it up with no intention but to chuckle together for a moment and then move on. But one thing that is great about Daniel is he likes to flesh things out for fun. We ended up spending the rest of the 1/2 hour drive loosely putting together this C-rated action/sci-fi story. There's not much to it, but it got those creative juices flowing that have been sitting stagnant and collecting greenery.

It was nice.

Well, I'm off to get some work done before the weekend ends, and hopefully to practice my guitar some.
